  • CFA Online Certification Course: This course provides the necessary initial training to become a Certified Fertilizer Applicator in the state of Virginia.  The course contents include fertilizer characteristics, record keeping, calibration, soils, and environmental considerations.  (#VDACS_CFA_INITIAL1)

  • CFA Online Recertification Course:  These 4 separate courses below provide the necessary training for CFA recertification. You must acquire 2 hours of training every two years (4 hours total) during your 4 year certification period to renew your certification. The course contents include fertilizer characteristics, safety, weed ID, soils, turf species, and landscape ornamentals. 

CERTIFIED FERTILIZER APPLICATOR CERTIFICATION COURSE (TO BECOME CERTIFIED)

This course provides the necessary INITIAL training TO BECOME a Certified Fertilizer Applicator in the state of Virginia. The course contents include fertilizer characteristics, record keeping, calibration, soils, and environmental considerations.

This course provides the necessary training for CFA re-certification (once you already have a license to apply fertilizer). The course contents include Pesticide safety and soils. You must acquire 2 hours of training every two years (4 hours total) during your 4 year certification period to renew your certification.
